My baby goes to big kid school...

For the record, today I am:

  • Saddened that our world has not become more peaceful in the years since the American tragedy of 9/11 and fearful about the state of our country
  • Thrilled that my son is adjusting well to his new school (and learning German. Dude!)
  • Excited and proud of my kindergartner and her adventurous spirit
  • Still in love with my grumpy, but loving husband
  • Glad that work is going well, but wish I made more money
  • Sad about losing my old friend and co-worker
  • Nervous about supporting a candidate that is, essentially, a community organizer, but even more nervous about having a war monger in the White House (again)
  • Eccsatic that my father-in-law is kicking cancer’s ass
  • Thankful to be sober 3 1/2 years and part of a vibrant and supportive AA community
  • Hanging on and hoping I can straighten my life out before it all falls apart
