This is a picture of my grandpa when he was in the Navy during WWII, before his ship was hit by a kamikaze pilot. He earned a Purple Heart (which I know have).
My grandpa was my hero. Not just because of his service in a war, but because he was always there for me. Always. I miss him dearly.
