Heart Ache
I know that a lot of people have strong feelings for and against Cindy Sheehan. Regardless, this article makes my heart hurt for her and all the other loved ones left behind. I’m terrified to think about the long term implications this horrible war is going to have on our country and our place in the world.

That story made me sad, too. It’s so hard to keep up the good fight sometimes, and she fought it well. I really think her efforts were not in vain. This country is waking up, albeit a bit late. The scariest part is that still people are not aware enough, or care enough. I posted a link to the Iraqi war background if you are interested.
I agree. I was listening to Cindy on Democracy Now this morning and she nailed it when she said it seems like we’re (as a society) more interested in what’s in Anna Nicole’s fridge than how many people are dying daily in Iraq. It’s sad. I hate to be cynical (it’s a sad way to live), but it seems like we don’t really want to accept that we were tricked into going to war and now it’s time for us to demand that it end. We just don’t want to accept that it’s not really our war….
Thanks for the link, Scott.
