I’ve only actually attended one women’s group in my two years of sobriety. I really enjoyed it, but the local groups never really fit into my schedule (schedule is dependent on having someone to watch the kids or husband home from work). At my homegroup meeting on Saturday, I was invited to join a closed women’s study group in town on Monday nights. Apparently, tonight is the last night to join before the close the group. I’m assuming that the group is closed to focus on the steps and traditions one by one. I’m pretty excited. It means that I have to give up my occasional Monday night study group at the local library, but I’m trying to get out of my rut a little and meet new peeps. I need some more sober friends. And I need to get a little more involved in the program. So I am.
