		<description>Dont' forget Leo from West Wing.  The actor John Spenser was a recovering alcoholic who asked that every character he played also be in recovering.

And Abby on ER who is in recovery (along with Carter).

Seems to me there are more, but I don't recall them off hand.</description>

		<description>I was disappointed a few years ago when ER did a recovery story line.  They followed it for a few years and then all of a sudden it got dropped and the characters went back to social drinking.</description>
