I'm new to knitting and am always on the lookout for websites to aid me. The links you had were very helpful. I wanted to pass along a site I found that has a few basic how to videos with great tips on knitting. I'm not sure if you're interested in trying more how to knit videos, but I found these useful when I was just starting out.

Thanks for your encouragement! Well, so far so good. I'm loving it. My first project was pretty ugly. My daughter called it a "sleeping bag" for her dolls. My second project out of the same yarn is looking a lot better. It's going to be a scarf for my son. :-)

Good luck with the knitting. I've been at it for 28 years and love it. No doubt you'll find it frustrating to start with (tight stitches, dropped stitches etc) but bear with it because it will be worth it in the end. ~Sharon
